How much do full time rf transmission systems jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 22, 2026, the average yearly pay for full time rf transmission systems in the United States is $109,527.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $84,500.00 and $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are some typical challenges RF Transmission Systems professionals face in a full-time role, and how can they be addressed?

Full-time RF Transmission Systems professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining signal quality in varying environmental conditions, troubleshooting interference issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. These challenges require strong analytical skills, adaptability, and ongoing collaboration with network engineers, field technicians, and regulatory agencies. Staying updated on the latest technologies and regularly participating in training can help professionals proactively address these issues and contribute to system reliability.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Full Time RF Transmission Systems roles typically require specialized technical skills and experience, and they may not reach $10,000 per month without relevant certifications or industry expertise. Most high-paying technical jobs in this field depend on hands-on experience, training, and knowledge of RF systems, rather than formal degrees alone.

What are RF Transmission Systems professionals?

RF Transmission Systems professionals are specialists who design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot radio frequency (RF) communication systems. These systems are essential for wireless communication, including radio, television broadcasting, cellular networks, and satellite communications. Full-time RF Transmission Systems roles typically involve working with transmitters, receivers, antennas, and related equipment to ensure efficient and reliable signal transmission. They often collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize system performance and resolve technical issues. A strong background in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field is usually required.

How much do radio frequency technicians make in the US?

Radio frequency (RF) transmission systems technicians in the US typically earn a median annual salary of around $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience, certifications, and location. Skilled technicians with specialized knowledge of RF equipment and systems can earn higher wages, especially in industries like telecommunications and defense.

What is the difference between Full Time Rf Transmission Systems vs Rf Transmission Technicians?

AspectFull Time Rf Transmission SystemsRf Transmission Technicians
CredentialsTypically requires a degree in electrical engineering or related field, certifications in RF technologyOften requires technical certifications or associate degrees in electronics or RF technology
Work EnvironmentDesign, installation, and maintenance of RF systems, often in office or lab settingsFieldwork involving installation, troubleshooting, and repair of RF equipment
Industry UsageUsed by telecom companies, defense, and broadcast industriesCommonly employed by telecom providers, network service companies, and maintenance firms

Full Time Rf Transmission Systems professionals focus on designing and managing RF systems, often in office settings, while Rf Transmission Technicians handle hands-on installation and repairs in the field. Both roles require RF knowledge but differ in responsibilities and work environment.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Full Time RF Transmission Systems roles typically do not pay $2000 a day; such high daily rates are more common in specialized consulting, executive positions, or freelance engineering projects in high-demand fields. These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, and extensive experience in RF systems, signal processing, or related areas. Most full-time positions in RF transmission systems offer annual salaries rather than daily rates, with high-paying roles reaching six-figure annual compensation rather than daily earnings of $2000.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time RF Transmission Systems Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time RF Transmission Systems Engineer, you need a strong background in electrical engineering, RF principles, and signal processing, typically supported by a relevant degree. Experience with RF simulation tools, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and knowledge of industry standards such as FCC regulations are commonly required. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication make candidates stand out in this role. These skills and qualities are crucial for designing, maintaining, and optimizing reliable RF transmission systems that meet technical and regulatory requirements.

What companies hire RF engineers?

RF engineers are employed by telecommunications companies, defense contractors, aerospace firms, and electronics manufacturers. Major employers include companies involved in wireless infrastructure, satellite communications, and radar systems, often requiring knowledge of RF design, testing, and certification. Job opportunities are available in both large corporations and specialized engineering firms worldwide.

Position Overview
As a Field Service Representative (FSR), you will support the deployment, installation, configuration, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of advanced RF, electronic warfare (EW), and SATCOM systems. You will work directly with customers in the field, ensuring system performance meets mission requirements while contributing to the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for deployed solutions. For larger programs, this role may also serve as a senior FSR manager, directing the work of subordinate managers.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and onsite integration of complex RF communication systems, EW suites, and SATCOM hardware at customer locations.
  • Perform routine system health checks and provide rapid-response troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues in the field.
  • Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to assess signal integrity, identify interference, and optimize link performance.
  • Provide technical and operational support to customers, ensuring mission needs are fully supported.

  • Conduct "over-the-shoulder" (OTS) training for military or government personnel on system operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify, document, and resolve technical and functional issues, ensuring accurate reporting and knowledge transfer.
  • For large programs, serve as a senior FSR manager and oversee subordinate FSR managers.

Technical Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of RF theory, including frequency deconfliction, modulation schemes, and antenna propagation.
  • Proven expertise troubleshooting RF transmission paths, including coaxial cabling, waveguides, and fiber-optic interconnects.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software applications, operating systems, and basic networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately document technical issues and solutions.

Requirements
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • DoD 8570 Compliance: Current CompTIA Security+ CE or higher (IAT Level II).
  • Mobility: Ability to deploy OCONUS to hazardous or austere environments for extended periods
  • Willingness to support a rotational schedule consisting of 3-month deployments within the CENTCOM Aread of Responsibility 9AOR), followed by 3-month assignments at the Sterling, VA work site.

This position is ideal for a technically strong, mission-focused professional who thrives in field operations and is committed to supporting critical customer missions worldwide.
