Tiny Triumphs Counseling Services is currently seeking a dedicated and culturally sensitive Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our vibrant team on a full-time basis. The work setting is entirely remote, giving you the flexibility to operate in an environment that best suits your professional style while reaching patients across the Chicago area. You will be part of an outpatient office model, where you will collaborate with like-minded professionals dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required to accommodate patient appointments.

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to inform the development of personalized treatment plans specific to each patient's needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting methods consistently to align with the cultural contexts and individual experiences of your patients.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing varied mental health concerns—promoting resilience and healthier coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care that addresses the comprehensive needs of patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring each patient's safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and local community resources, empowering them to engage in their mental health journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation per legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Actively participate in case conferences, contributing valuable insights and cultural competence during team meetings and training sessions.
• Stay abreast of contemporary research and advancements in mental health practices, particularly those reflecting cultural sensitivity.

Your role will primarily involve working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including marginalized and underrepresented groups. This experience not only enriches your clinical practice but significantly impacts the community by fostering inclusive mental health care and support systems. You will be instrumental in developing trust and rapport with patients who have varied lived experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois is essential.
• A deep understanding of mental health disorders alongside evidence-based treatment approaches paired with a commitment to cultural competence is necessary.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally responsive approaches aimed at varied patient demographics.
• Demonstrable crisis intervention skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure or in high-stress situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of building rapport among people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies to enhance patient management and care delivery.
• Strong commitment to ethics, maintaining professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality in all circumstances.
• Aptitude for collaborative teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting aimed at holistic patient care.

• Prior experience working in outpatient mental health settings focusing on multicultural populations.
• Strong familiarity with community resources and service networks relevant to the patient population served.
• Background in crisis management and intervention techniques.
