This position allows for remote work, providing the flexibility to balance professional responsibilities while maintaining a work-life balance. Though the role is primarily remote, team members occasionally collaborate in our outpatient office in Gaithersburg, fostering a sense of community and teamwork that is essential to our therapeutic approach.

• Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems therapy to facilitate healing.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans to reflect client progress and changing needs, ensuring that goals remain relevant and achievable.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with state guidelines and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to support holistic client care and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to discuss case management and treatment approaches.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, employing de-escalation techniques and developing immediate action plans for client safety.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, each facing various challenges from relationship issues and trauma to addiction and mental health disorders. Your work will be vital in helping clients develop coping strategies, enhance communication skills, and rebuild familial bonds, leading to improved mental health outcomes.

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and valid LMFT licensure in Maryland.
• Strong foundation in family systems theory and experience in a therapeutic setting.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with clients and team members.

• Experience in outpatient mental health therapy, specifically within family therapy settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a passion for utilizing them in treatment.
• Previous experience in crisis intervention and managing high-risk cases.
