Brighterlife Counseling Center is seeking a Fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our committed team. This full-time position features the flexibility of a remote work setting while primarily serving clients in our outpatient office located in Silver Spring, Maryland. • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, determining appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family therapy, employing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more.
• Collaborate seamlessly with case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for each client.
• Provide timely crisis intervention services for clients in acute distress, using effective strategies to manage emergencies and ensure the safety and well-being of those in our care.
• Participate in community outreach programs and educational workshops aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma around mental health issues.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Our commitment to cultural competence ensures that all clients receive tailored care that is sensitive to their unique backgrounds and experiences.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Cultural competence and the ability to engage with clients from various backgrounds respectfully and sensitively.
• Excellent organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.

• Prior experience in outpatient therapy settings or community mental health centers is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and case management.
• Experience conducting group therapy sessions and community outreach initiatives.

• A competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
