Position Overview

Life Journey Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This full-time remote position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients by providing compassionate care and therapeutic strategies tailored to their unique mental health needs. You will be responsible for assessing clientsโ€™ mental health, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions in a supportive outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine the mental health status of clients, utilizing structured interviews and assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices and the specific needs of clients.
  • Provide ongoing therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to guide clients through their challenges, including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
  • Regularly evaluate clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a tailored approach to their care.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, when applicable.
  • Document therapy sessions and treatment progress in a timely manner within our EHR system, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. A significant aspect of your role will involve delivering therapy that respects cultural differences and addresses the specific needs of each client while promoting inclusive practices. You will engage with clients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring personalized care that fosters recovery and growth.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in mental health counseling.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and various evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience implementing therapeutic practices in both individual and group therapy settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and the management of challenging situations with calm professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
