Position Summary
The Field Program Specialist leads the company's field marketing programs, including retail demonstrations, consumer events, breeder outreach, and dog show initiatives. This role supervises demo representatives, coordinates field activities, manages program logistics and budgets, and works cross-functionally to increase brand awareness, consumer engagement, product trial, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Demo Program Management
  • Manage the company's retail demonstration program and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, coach, and support demo representatives.
  • Coordinate demo schedules with retail partners and Sales.
  • Manage demo inventory, logistics, budgets, and reporting.
  • Monitor KPIs, consumer engagement, product trial, sales impact, and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to improve training, field execution, and operational processes.

Consumer Events
  • Plan and execute expos, festivals, retail activations, community events, and brand experiences.
  • Manage event staffing, vendors, shipping, setup, budgets, and post-event reporting.
  • Supervise field staff during events and ensure consistent brand representation.
  • Evaluate event performance and recommend future improvements.
  • Develop event playbooks and standard operating procedures.

Breeder & Dog Show Program
  • Lead breeder program recruitment, onboarding, communication, and relationship management.
  • Develop strategies to grow breeder participation and engagement.
  • Build relationships with breeders, handlers, kennel clubs, and other pet-industry influencers.
  • Coordinate company participation in dog shows and breeder events.
  • Track program participation and business impact.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Product teams.
  • Manage program budgets and track expenses.
  • Develop reports and dashboards and communicate results to leadership.
  • Maintain program schedules, documentation, training materials, and SOPs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Travel as needed for demos, events, dog shows, breeder outreach, and industry functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise demo representatives.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop field team members.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Monitor attendance, scheduling, performance, and compliance.
  • Support performance evaluations and employee-relations matters in partnership with management and Human Resources.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing, event management, program management, consumer marketing, retail marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior supervisory or people-management experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing field teams, vendors, agencies, or brand ambassadors preferred.
  • Budget management and reporting experience.
  • Experience with KPIs, program reporting, and performance analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Experience with CRM or event management platforms preferred.
  • Must reside in one of the approved markets-Seattle, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Denver, Chicago, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Charlotte, St. Louis, Orlando, New Jersey, or Phoenix-and be within reasonable proximity to a major commercial airport.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-50%, including weekends and occasional extended travel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pet industry, CPG, retail marketing, or related consumer-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with breeders, dog shows, kennel clubs, or companion animal organizations.
  • Experience with experiential marketing, brand activations, or ambassador programs.
  • Experience managing retail demonstration programs or field sales teams.

Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-50% as required.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and participate in retail and event activities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and transport program materials and equipment as needed.
