The Nurturing Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) to join our innovative team. This role is primarily remote, providing the flexibility to work from home while maintaining close connections with our clients through virtual sessions. As an outpatient facility located in Bellevue, Washington, we harness the latest technology and collaborative tools to support our remote operations while ensuring that all interactions with clients are compassionate and effective. • Conduct initial interviews and thorough assessments to develop individualized care plans for clients.
• Perform ongoing evaluations by gathering and synthesizing bio-psychosocial information from clients, their families, and relevant community resources, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client’s unique background and needs.
• Demonstrate a high level of competency in the standards of chemical dependency care, utilizing evidence-based practices that align with current research and methodologies.
• Maintain a working knowledge of drug treatment facilities and various treatment modalities, leveraging these resources to inform client care and facilitate referrals when necessary.
• Exhibit the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, understanding cultural nuances and individual client backgrounds to tailor therapeutic approaches.

This position will focus on providing counseling services to a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, age groups, and community settings, which requires cultural competence and a deep understanding of the factors influencing mental health and substance use issues.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• At least two years of clinical experience providing therapy in a mental health setting, with a specific focus on chemical dependency treatment preferred.
• Active and appropriate Washington State licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT.
• Strong commitment to client confidentiality and the ethical handling of sensitive information.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on creating a supportive therapeutic relationship.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies.
