Many of our clients come from underserved populations with limited access to mental health resources, presenting unique opportunities for meaningful impact. Your ability to build rapport and trust with clients will be essential in helping them navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines pertinent to mental health practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, facilitating rapport with clients from varying backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to enhance client outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and relevant technology for documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training or experience in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse recovery.
  • Previous experience in community mental health settings or with culturally diverse populations is a plus.
  • Fluency in a second language is advantageous and may improve communication with clients.
