• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the unique needs of each patient, utilizing tools such as standardized screening instruments and personal interviews.
• Offer individualized short-term counseling and crisis intervention tailored to specific challenges faced by patients, such as anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and addiction complications.
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions that focus on topics like coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal development, fostering peer support and shared experiences.
• Collaborate actively with other healthcare professionals, including medical staff and support personnel, to coordinate holistic care plans that address both physical and mental health concerns.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to raise mental health awareness and provide preventive education through workshops and wellness events.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care and tracking progress over time.

The patients you will work with include individuals overcoming substance use disorders, managing chronic mental illness, and those seeking support for the mental health consequences of physical health issues. Your understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by this diverse population will play a critical role in their recovery. You will be an advocate for their mental health treatment and personal growth.

• Currently active and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Deep understanding of hospital patient mental health challenges and an ability to develop effective interventions based on best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with patients and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and brief therapy models essential for a fast-paced counseling environment.

• A minimum of three years of direct clinical experience, particularly within a hospital or detox environment.
• Experience with integrating behavioral health interventions into treatment plans for patients with co-occurring disorders.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and various telehealth platforms to monitor patient engagement and progress.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
