This is an exceptional opportunity for a compassionate professional who possesses a deep understanding of the socioeconomic determinants of health. The ideal candidate will be passionate about strengthening community health, particularly for underserved populations, including mothers and families.

About the Organization

Brave Affirmation Counseling Services, Inc. is committed to providing inclusive and compassionate mental health services. We strive to offer a supportive environment for both our clients and our staff, focusing on holistic care and personal empowerment. Our telehealth setting allows us to extend our reach to individuals who may otherwise lack access to necessary mental health resources.

Work Environment

In our remote telehealth model, you will be empowered to provide therapy from the comfort of your own environment while also being part of a cohesive team that values communication and support. This approach allows for flexibility in your work schedule, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while managing a caseload that contributes to your professional and personal fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and provide clinical supervision to mental health workers and therapy assistants to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and other healthcare professionals to develop cross-system treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
  • Deliver cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to individuals, families, and groups, using evidence-based interventions that are responsive to their specific situations.
  • Assess and respond to crisis situations, evaluating the urgency of client needs to provide immediate support and mobilize appropriate resources.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate colleagues and community members on critical clinical topics, enhancing overall service delivery.
  • Perform comprehensive initial assessments, including intake sessions and Integrated Biopsychosocial Assessments, to establish client needs and formulate diagnoses according to DSM-V standards.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans integrating clinical best practices, and deliver therapy and educational support to clients facing complex psychological challenges.
  • Utilize various therapeutic models including behavior modification and brief therapy, ensuring that each session is structured and purpose-driven.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, focusing on mothers, families, and underserved populations who may experience barriers to accessing traditional mental health services. Your role will be crucial in enhancing their mental well-being and fostering resilience through individualized support.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An independent license in your state (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC), with existing credentials valid for practice in Oregon.
  • Strong proficiency in electronic medical records systems and excellent communication skills for electronic correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining effective communication with clients and support staff.
  • Mechanical understanding of co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with evidence-based practices that enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Prior involvement working with marginalized communities, focusing on their unique needs and strengths.
  • A track record of delivering successful behavioral interventions in a telehealth setting.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, professional liability insurance, and access to an employee assistance program that provides additional mental health resources. We prioritize minimal administrative paperwork, allowing you to focus on client interactions and a fulfilling caseload.
