Key Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care, tailored to fit the unique circumstances of each patient.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment where patients can explore their mental health concerns openly.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to secure coordinated care for clients.
  • Provide urgent crisis intervention services to assist patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being during critical moments.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring all patient interactions are accurately recorded.
  • Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and culturally competent perspectives to enhance care practices.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health therapy, attending regular training sessions to bolster your skills in cultural competence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse clientele that includes individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant populations. Your role is pivotal in promoting mental health equity by taking into consideration the cultural context of each patient, thereby creating inclusive treatment plans that resonate with their lived experiences.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • A valid and current state license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
  • A robust understanding of mental health disorders and an ability to implement evidence-based treatments that are culturally competent.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy in a culturally responsive manner.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills, demonstrating the ability to manage challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities that facilitate building trusting relationships with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain organized patient documentation.
  • A steadfast commitment to upholding professional integrity, ethical standards, and client confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
