Job description

Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours/week, W2);
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Compensation: $35-45/hour for teaching + $16–20/hour for non-teaching/admin time

Join Think Academy as a full-time Math Teacher. Teach with a structured, high-quality curriculum, receive paid training, and grow into long-term teaching and curriculum roles. This is a long-term teaching opportunity — not a short-term tutoring role.

About Think Academy

Think Academy US, a wholly owned subsidiary of TAL Education Group (NYSE: TAL), is a leading education company dedicated to helping K–12 students build strong academic foundations, confidence in math, and long-term learning ability through high-quality teaching and thoughtfully designed curriculum.

Why This Role Is Different

Most teaching roles expect you to build everything yourself. Here, you teach within a structured instructional system. Curriculum, lesson materials, training, and team support are already in place, so you can focus on teaching quality and student growth instead of building materials from scratch.

  • Stronger Teaching Support — we provide pre-developed curriculum and lesson materials, structured onboarding, ongoing training, and a team to collaborate with instead of teaching in isolation
  • Long-Term Career Growth — high performers can grow into Senior Teacher, Teacher Trainer, or Academic Operations/Management roles
  • Competitive, Growing Earnings — paid for both teaching and non-teaching work, with performance-based raises up to 3 times a year, and an end-of-semester commission
What You'll Do
  • Teach school or competition math in a clear, engaging, student-centered way, using our curriculum, lesson materials, and instructional guidance
  • Lead virtual classes with ~18 students, creating a positive, high-expectation learning environment
  • Grade homework, give timely feedback, and communicate professionally with students/parents on progress and learning plans
  • Participate in training, lesson prep, and ongoing professional development
Schedule & Commitment
  • ~3-6 classes/week (6-12 teaching hours), plus admin hours (grading, prep, parent comms) — total 30-40 hrs/week
  • Class windows (Pacific Time): Wed-Fri, 4pm-8pm and Sat-Sun, 9am-8pm
  • Once classes are assigned, your schedule stays consistent week to week (except federal holidays)
  • We are looking for candidates who can commit to at least one year with consistent teaching schedule
Remote (U.S. based)
  • Teaching Hours: $35-45/hour
  • Non-Teaching/Admin Hours: $16-20/hour (grading, class prep, parent communication)
  • Performance-based pay increases up to 3 times per year, plus end-of-semester commission targeted at 15-30% of total teaching compensation
  • Qualified teachers may be assigned more long-term classes, or have expanded responsibilities
  • Benefits: 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance (based on eligibility)
  • Visa sponsorship may be considered for long-term, high-performing teachers
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Strong math foundation; Math, STEM-related, or Education majors preferred
  • Available during the class windows above; available on at least one weekend day
  • Passion for teaching and supporting student growth; strong communication skills
  • Strong service mindset: proactive, comfortable initiating communication with parents, students, and the team, not just delivering lessons
  • Open to feedback, self-reflective, and able to quickly adjust your teaching and service approach
  • Tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or classroom teaching experience is a plus
  • Math competition background (e.g., AMC, Math Kangaroo) is a plus
