Fisher Care Health Plan is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in Olympia, Washington. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a crucial liaison between service systems, state agencies, and community partners, ensuring seamless access to services for clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to promote programs, identify new partnerships, and secure funding opportunities.
  • Pursue ongoing personal and professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and group discussions, as well as representing the agency at statewide meetings and committees.
  • Actively uphold and promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles in all interactions and professional activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Fisher Care Health Plan, you will serve a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with emotional health issues, substance use recovery needs, and developmental disabilities. Your work will involve providing psychotherapy and support to clients navigating challenging life circumstances, enabling them to achieve greater levels of independence and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline from an accredited institution is required.
  • An active and independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Washington state.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, demonstrating proficiency in direct psychotherapy delivery.
  • Experience in conducting thorough intake assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a community health setting or with populations facing significant behavioral health challenges is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
