As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating and diagnosing a broad spectrum of psychosocial issues that affect patient well-being, implementing targeted clinical interventions to address these challenges.
• Adhering to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics while applying professional standards and best practices in patient care.
• Completing detailed bio-psychosocial assessments to identify barriers to treatment, recommending solutions that enhance overall patient health and resource utilization.
• Collaborating with medical and support staff to devise comprehensive care plans, ensuring cohesive treatment that respects the unique needs of each patient.
• Developing and executing tailored treatment strategies utilizing both individual and group therapy modalities, continuously assessing and adjusting plans based on patient progress.
• Documenting social work activities and ensuring compliance with departmental standards for patient medical records.
• Providing educational support to patients and their families, guiding them through medical and social work interventions to foster understanding and acceptance.
• Coordinating advocacy efforts in the community, promoting patient self-determination and improving social support systems.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and education to enhance clinical skills and stay current with community resources.
• Completing relevant case-related statistics and reports as required.

Your work will focus on diverse populations facing various mental health challenges. You will engage with patients from different backgrounds, age groups, and demographics, considering individual circumstances and cultural practices in your treatment approaches. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license from the New York State Board of Social Work Licensure.
• Demonstrable knowledge of human development, aging processes, and sociocultural factors affecting mental health treatment.

Experience is paramount in delivering effective therapy; thus, candidates with:

• A minimum of six months to one year of clinical experience, ideally within a health or mental health framework.
