• Conduct comprehensive assessments that accurately evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their mental health landscape.
• Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their individual needs, therapy goals, and personal preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster understanding and support.
• Regularly monitor client progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting plans when necessary to better align with individual client responses and outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and cohesive care for our clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders, ensuring that our therapeutic approaches are at the forefront of best practices.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for all client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards for confidentiality and record-keeping.
• Contribute to case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the practice.
• Act as an advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders and promote mental health awareness within the community.

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse patient population involves clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, requiring a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges they face. This role demands empathy, cultural competence, and an unwavering commitment to improving patient outcomes.

• An accredited Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically in CBT and DBT.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Demonstrated expertise in psychopharmacology and the collaboration with psychiatrists to optimize treatment outcomes.
• A proven track record of achieving positive clinical outcomes in mood disorder interventions.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, plus the opportunity for a sign-on bonus.
