The Soul Restore Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This is a full-time remote position that allows you to provide professional counseling services from the comfort of your home. As a member of our remote team, you will enjoy a flexible work schedule, allowing you to choose your own hours between Monday and Friday. Regular collaborative case consultations will be part of your routine, providing opportunities for professional growth and team support.

• Provide trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based practices.
• Incorporate Christian counseling techniques during therapy sessions for clients seeking a faith-based approach.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the diverse needs and goals of clients.
• Provide counseling to clients referred from local churches, actively engaging in community outreach to promote mental wellness.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and complete progress notes promptly.
• Communicate openly with the center director regarding your schedule, client availability, and any other concerns.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families experiencing trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health issues. At Soul Restore, we understand the unique needs of our community, and counselors will be equipped to handle a range of issues through a lens of compassion and empathy.

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Independently licensed in Washington, DC as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Strong knowledge of biblical scripture and counseling techniques, with the ability to integrate faith-based principles into practice.
• At least 1 year of experience in trauma-informed counseling.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Experience in community outreach and building referral networks.
• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or willingness to complete EMDR training within the first three months of employment.
