Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine client needs, establish treatment goals, and develop personalized care strategies.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through virtual sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
• Organize and lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community engagement and offer resources for common challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress management.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatric colleagues, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment for clients.
• Offer crisis intervention and management during emergency situations, utilizing sound judgment and established protocols to support clients in distress.
• Educate clients and families on coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and confidentially in compliance with legal and regulatory standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in regular supervision and professional development sessions to continually hone your skills and stay updated on advancements in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient population that includes individuals grappling with various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of various mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities.
• A proven track record of successfully conducting mental health evaluations and developing effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Experience delivering therapy to diverse populations in both individual and group settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and rapport-building capabilities.
• Sound decision-making skills, adhering to professional ethics and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Competence in using EHR software and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• A collaborative attitude and readiness to integrate feedback from multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Experience working in a telehealth capacity is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
