Position Overview

Community Outreach Mental Care is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of clients, including pre-crisis and crisis situation management.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to ensure effective treatment interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans aimed at fostering client independence and well-being.
  • Actively involved in accreditation and licensing processes, ensuring adherence to all standards and guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate comprehensive client care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and facilitating discussions to represent the agency and enhance expertise.
  • Implement and promote the organizational mission, values, and principles in every aspect of service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the goals of the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse population of clients, addressing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. You will work with individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, providing tailored interventions that respect their unique experiences and foster hope and recovery. Community Outreach is committed to serving clients compassionately and effectively, promoting their overall health and wellbeing through individualized care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is mandatory to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled approach to mental health counseling.
  • Current independent LMHC licensure issued by the state board is required for practice and to demonstrate clinical competency.
  • Strong ability to maintain clinical records and prepare reports promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively express ideas and interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed independent decisions rooted in professional knowledge.
Preferred Experience

While not required, experience working in a community health setting is highly valued. Candidates with a background in crisis intervention, substance use treatment, or developmental disabilities may find their skills particularly relevant and appreciated in this role.
