Radiology Associates of Florida, a Radiology Partners practice, is seeking a full-time Breast Radiologist to support our growing practice in Tampa, FL. This position is primarily hospital-based and academically oriented at Tampa General Hospital. The candidate will work closely with the hospital/university breast surgical team, including interpreting both screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, and MRI; performing localizations and biopsies; and attending tumor boards as part of an NAPBC-accredited program. This position offers the opportunity for faculty appointments with the University of South Florida, teaching radiology residents and fellows.
This position offers a high concentration of Breast Imaging (at least 90%, with up to 100% for interested candidates). Candidates who wish to maintain proficiency in general diagnostic skills will have the option to participate in general diagnostic shifts and emergency call if desired. Our practice is fully equipped with 3D technology, including stereotactic biopsies.
A desire to work in a collaborative environment with local surgeons, pathologists, and oncologists is required. This is a full-time Monday Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with partnership-track eligibility, though this is not mandatory. We offer an excellent and highly competitive compensation package, including moonlighting opportunities, a full range of benefits, 8 weeks of PTO, a 401(k), and medical malpractice coverage. A sign-on bonus is also expected.
LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW
RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. Since our beginnings more than 50 years ago, we've enjoyed tremendous growth while keeping a commitment to superior service for our longtime partner hospitals. Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.
Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa. In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.
Our diverse group of radiologists work and socialize together in our communities around Florida. Even between our communities across the state, we are one practice. We have a vibrant mix of highly experienced radiologists, as well as emerging leaders in our large cohort of early-career radiologists. We look forward to letting you get to know us better!
