Job description

FamilyFirst Psychological Services, established in 2008, is a thriving practice that specializes in providing high-quality therapy and psychological testing for children, teens, and adults.ย 
ย 
We are seeking a full-time or part-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with a strong focus in psychological assessment of children and adolescents. Psychotherapy is optional and based on clinician interest.ย 
We are looking for someone who values high-quality diagnostic work, enjoys complex cases, and wants to practice in a setting with strong referral flow and well-developed clinical infrastructure. This opportunity is designed for psychologists who value thoughtful diagnostic work, clinical autonomy, and high-quality client care.

About the Role
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and integrate multi-method assessment dataย 
  • Provide thoughtful, thorough, well-written reports with diagnostic clarity and treatment recommendationsย 
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and referral sources as neededย 
  • Optional: Provide psychotherapy services to children and adolescentsย 
Clinicians in this role will primarily conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents, including:
  • ADHD and executive functioning evaluationsย 
  • Autism spectrum assessmentsย 
  • Psychoeducational testing (e.g., learning disorders, academic concerns)ย 
  • Cognitive and personality assessmentย 
  • Diagnostic clarification for complex clinical presentationsย 
Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychologyย 
  • Active Virginia licensure (or eligibility)ย 
  • Strong interest and experience in child and adolescent psychological assessmentย 
  • Competence in integrating cognitive, behavioral, and personality data into diagnostic formulationย 
  • Excellent interpersonal and clinical writing skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Clear and timely record-keeping
Compensation & Earning Potential
  • Compensation up to $200,000 annually, based on productivity, caseload, and assessment volume.
