Role Description:

The Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) is a full-time, on-site clinical role based in Keene, NH. This role is responsible for evaluating patients, performing comprehensive assessments, and developing treatment plans for orthotic and prosthetic interventions. Day-to-day tasks include casting and measuring, designing and selecting appropriate devices, fitting and aligning components, and providing ongoing adjustments and follow-up care. The CPO collaborates with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and evidence-based practice. Documentation of clinical encounters, participation in outcome tracking, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Orthotist

  • Certified Prosthetist

  • Demonstrated expertise in orthotics, including assessment, device design, fitting, and follow-up care.

  • Proficiency in prosthetics, including component selection, alignment, gait training support, and long-term device management.

  • Proficiency in pediatric orthotics.

  • Strong skills in patient care, with the ability to perform thorough clinical evaluations and manage treatment plans in coordination with medicine and rehabilitation teams.

  • Experience with gait analysis to optimize orthotic and prosthetic outcomes and improve functional mobility.

  • ABC or BOC certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO).

  • Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or a related accredited program.

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain treatment options clearly and support patient education.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical setting and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

  • Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and nondiscriminatory patient care and ongoing professional development.
