Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care for laboring and postpartum patients and newborns
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout labor and delivery
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
  • Support and educate patients and families during the childbirth process
  • Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • Provider NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
