Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice in Des Plaines, Illinois. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with patients to enhance their mobility, promote recovery, and support their journey towards optimal health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will engage closely with individuals, utilizing a diverse array of therapeutic techniques to empower them in regaining their functional abilities.

Located in the vibrant community of Des Plaines, IL, Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a leader in providing personalized physical therapy services, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies and equipment. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care while focusing primarily on patients with private medical insurance. We are committed to fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, where both our team and patients can thrive.

Work Environment

You will work onsite in our welcoming rehabilitation facility, collaborating with a close-knit team that includes two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. The environment is fast-paced yet rewarding, with a focus on comprehensive, evidence-based treatment methods that prioritize patient engagement and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs to create individualized treatment plans focused on recovery and rehabilitation goals.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives dedicated attention and care.
  • Employ a variety of treatment techniquesโ€”including manual therapy and therapeutic exerciseโ€”to enhance patient mobility and strength.
  • Provide alternatives to medications or invasive surgical treatments in order to facilitate natural recovery processes.
  • Monitor patient progress through assessment and feedback, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in compliance with established healthcare requirements.
  • Engage in continuous communication with patients to inspire motivation and adherence to therapy regimens.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-operative recovery from joint replacement surgeries, and those experiencing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
  • Certification and a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Des Plaines, IL.
