Restaurant Assistant Manager (Front of House)

GARAGE GRILL Draper | Draper, UT | Full-Time | $50,000–$55,000 per year (DOE)

GARAGE GRILL Draper is seeking an experienced Front of House Assistant Manager to help lead our full-service restaurant and deliver exceptional hospitality to every guest.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about developing people, creating memorable guest experiences, and driving operational excellence. What You'll Do

As the Front of House Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside the General Manager to ensure outstanding daily operations, develop a high-performing team, and uphold GARAGE GRILL's commitment to exceptional food, service, and hospitality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in leading all daily front-of-house restaurant operations.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining GARAGE GRILL's service standards.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, schedule, and develop team members.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and accountable team culture.
  • Monitor labor costs, sales performance, and operating expenses to achieve profitability goals.
  • Review labor reports and tip distributions on a bi-weekly basis to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Manage scheduling and daily staffing levels to support efficient operations.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while creating positive dining experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, food quality, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Utah DABS regulations, health department requirements, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Help implement local marketing and guest retention initiatives.
  • Ensure employees maintain professional appearance, excellent product knowledge, and exceptional guest service.
  • Stay current on hospitality trends and identify opportunities to improve operations and the overall guest experience.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Please note: The following qualification is required and is not negotiable.

  • Minimum two (2) years of recent management experience in a full-service restaurant that serves beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop restaurant teams.
  • Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and guest service skills.
  • Experience with Aloha POS or comparable restaurant management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Details

  • Full-Time
  • Minimum of 45 hours per week
  • Additional hours may be required during holidays and peak business periods.
  • In-person position located in Herriman, Utah.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience.
