Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Location: Wadsworth, OH (on-site)

Position Summary:

This position exists to manage day-to-day activities of Quality Inspectors with oversight from the Quality Manager, while managing all CMM measurement programs from creation to revision to obsolescence including Supply Chain processes where appropriate to ensure programs are compatible with the business GDT Standards.  In addition, this position will manage all hard gauging measurement processes to ensure integrity of data within the business and be a subject area expert in the field of measurement and inspection analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Engineering released prints are sufficient to correctly present dimensional requirements that satisfy the GDT intent of the business
  • Ensure the business' ability to capably use and interpret results of all measurement systems, gauges, and instruments; fully explaining results to those individuals in the organization who are not familiar with measurement software, reports, or technical terminology
  • Analyze measurement trends from multiple CMM's and various inspection equipment, with the ability to program in multiple measurement software applications (e.g. PCDMIS and Polyworks Inspector), and prepare CI initiatives
  • Manage Tool Crib equipment sign in and out, manage Gauge Calibration System, and coordinate 3rd party calibration of measurement equipment as required
  • Support Supplier Quality Development activities, internal business system audits per ISO 9001, and non-conforming material and customer concern investigations as needed
  • Process Audits of production work cells and use of metallurgy equipment (e.g., hardness testers)
  • Minimal travel for training (up to 5%)

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience
  • Experience with basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and advanced metrology tools (Bridge, Arm CMM's) including GDT standards
  • Experience with the Internal Auditing process
  • Ability to work in database systems (e.g. QIM, Windchill, and SAP)
  • Proficient with MS Office software applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong math skills in geometry and statistics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates in a related STEM field
  • ASMEY.14.5 GDT Tolerancing
  • PCDMIS, Polyworks or equivalent
  • Hands-on mechanic / shop / manufacturing experience
  • Strong aptitude and desire for hands-on work

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
