Plant Manager

A well-established manufacturing company in Stevens Point, WI is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, strategic manufacturing leader who enjoys working across departments, developing people, improving processes, and using data to drive results. The successful candidate will have the technical aptitude and leadership skills to work effectively with teams at all levels of the organization.
What You'll Do
  • Provide leadership and oversight of Production and Warehouse operations, partnering closely with department managers to improve processes, efficiency, and performance.
  • Lead safety and environmental compliance initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Develop and promote a culture of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Establish, monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and support employee performance and development.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the use of technology and automation to improve operations.
  • Partner with Quality on root cause analysis, non-conforming material, cost of quality, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing on new product introduction (NPI) initiatives.
  • Oversee physical inventory accuracy and inventory control processes.
  • Provide oversight of production, warehouse, and facility maintenance.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets while monitoring costs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels and build strong working relationships across the organization.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of Plant Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Mapping.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and manufacturing costs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with an ERP system; experience with Infor SyteLine is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and across diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining accountability.
  • Strong professional ethics and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
