Job Description:
This individual will perform maintenance repairs and inspections on equipment. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner.
R.D. Offutt Farms is a six-generation, family-owned and operated food producer celebrating more than 50 years farming in the Midwest. We continue to seek innovative, leading edge ways to sustainably produce food while maintaining our commitment to the communities in which we reside, and the land on which our company was built. Today, R.D. Offutt Company has grown to include farming operations supporting multiple types of food production across twelve states.
Specific Duties Include:
  • Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Perform preventive or general maintenance on equipment.
  • Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose equipment.
  • Safely operate vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the company's area of responsibility.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RD Offutt Farms
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • At times may operate various farm equipment and other heavy equipment (specifically a front-end loader
  • Mandatory participation in the company's random drug/alcohol testing pool.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:
  • 3 to 4 years mechanical experience preferred
  • Basic tools to perform duties

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • CDL preferred
