Job description

Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist to join their established practice. This role involves delivering high-quality pediatric interventional cardiology services, with primary clinical responsibilities in the cardiac catheterization lab, complemented by inpatient and outpatient activities. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in all types of diagnostic and catheter-based cardiovascular interventions.

Practice Info

  • Part of a full-scope pediatric cardiology program
  • Roughly ~200 congenital cardiac interventions performed per year
  • Collegial team of providers as well as CVL and clinic staff

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret pediatric and adult congenital cardiac catheterizations and interventions
  • Consult on ED, NICU and PICU patients at Presbyterian hospitals
  • Assist pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, adult congenital, and pediatric heart surgery colleagues with the management of service and inpatient consults
  • Assist in post-operative cardiology patient management
  • Read pediatric and adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) echos, ECGs and holters
  • Provide patient management for all patients scheduled for clinic
  • Communicate plan with referring providers
  • Be available via phone at all times while on call
