Job description

An exciting opportunity awaits for motivated candidates wanting to join the KOMO team! We are looking to add an Operations Technician to participate in the production of our newscast. This position provides tremendous opportunity to become familiar with control room duties, including directing, teleprompter operation, and studio preparation and maintenance. The ideal candidate would have broadcast experience, and the ability to direct newscasts using Ross Overdrive automation. 

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and a strong commitment to personal growth

  • Strong technical interest -- specifically pertaining to computer technology and studio infrastructure
  • A desire to develop directing skills 
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic

The hourly compensation range for this role is $25.03 to $25.96. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
