General Summary:
The Enterprise Planning Systems Lead / Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and leading enterprise-scale planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management solutions. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, partnering closely with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and well-governed planning applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with at least one leading planning platform, such as IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Anaplan, OneStream, or Oracle EPM, and experience working in complex, enterprise environments.
This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).
**This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.**
Key Responsibilities
Planning System Design & Development
  • Design, build, and support enterprise planning solutions for:
    • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Long-Range Planning
    • P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
    • OPEX, Revenue, Headcount and Cost Modeling
  • Develop and maintain planning artifacts such as models, cubes/modules, hierarchies, calculations, allocations, and validation logic
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and maintainability standards

Technical Leadership
  • Act as a technical lead for planning system initiatives, enhancements, and releases
  • Define and enforce solution design standards and best practices
  • Review and guide development work performed by team members or implementation partners
  • Partner with product, program, and architecture teams on platform roadmap and strategy

Integrations & Data Enablement
  • Support end-to-end data flows between source systems, planning platforms, and reporting tools
  • Partner with data and integration teams to ensure data quality, reconciliation, and refresh reliability
  • Align planning solutions with enterprise data governance and control requirements

Delivery & Operations
  • Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Support planning cycles, UAT, releases, and hypercare activities
  • Troubleshoot data, performance, and user-reported issues
  • Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Experience
  • 6-10+ years of experience delivering enterprise financial planning or performance management solutions
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms:
    • IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
    • Anaplan
    • OneStream
    • Oracle EPM (Hyperion / Cloud EPM)
  • Strong understanding of FP&A and enterprise planning processes
  • Experience building complex planning models and business logic
  • Ability to work effectively across Finance, business, and IT teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience leading or supporting planning system modernization or replacement programs
  • Exposure to multiple planning platforms (e.g., TM1 → OneStream, Hyperion → Anaplan)
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, cloud ecosystems, or analytics tools
  • Knowledge of governance, audit, and control requirements for financial systems

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field
    (or equivalent practical experience)

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$115,200.00 - $172,800.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
