Job description

DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking an experienced and friendly Full Time Beach Server/Barista to join our team. In this position you will split your time between the Barista and Beach Server position. In this role you will provide memorable experiences for our guests. You will need to be quick on your feet, have a positive upbeat attitude, and enjoy talking to people. If this sounds like you, we would like to meet you!
General Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)
  • Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute
  • Answer questions regarding the menu
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen
  • Delivers food, beverages, condiments and other requested items
  • Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen
  • Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal
  • Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies
  • Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures
  • Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked
  • Set tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repair
  • Prepare guest checks and collect payment
  • Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, you may required to perform a variety or duties in multiple departments during a shift

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a server preferred
  • Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
