Job description

From Fivetran's founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We're proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to own Monitoring and Observability-a critical pillar of our Enterprise Platform group. In this role, you will help our largest and most sophisticated customers easily understand how their data pipelines are performing. You'll focus on delivering a world-class observability experience, ensuring that Fivetran remains easy to use even as our capabilities expand in scale and complexity.
We're looking for someone who can bring AI-native thinking to how our platform evolves-whether it's in accelerating development with intelligent defaults, enabling automated observability, or expanding how customers build with Fivetran programmatically.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role, perfect for product leaders who thrive on technical challenges, tight feedback loops, and opportunities to shape long-term platform strategy.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
What You'll Do
  • Own and evolve the Monitoring & Observability product area: logging, alerting, sync status, latency monitoring, event standardization, and external integrations.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap that improves transparency into Fivetran connection behavior, with a focus on supporting Enterprise-grade monitoring requirements.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver intuitive experiences for customers to monitor, debug, and optimize their data syncs-and integrate seamlessly with their existing observability stack.
  • Prioritize product investments based on revenue-weighted feature usage, customer feedback, support ticket trends, and roadmap alignment with adjacent platform teams.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for observability across Fivetran and champion platform consistency in user experience and technical implementation.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and go-to-market readiness for major product launches.
  • Stay on the pulse of trends in developer platforms, data infrastructure, and enterprise tooling-with an eye toward AI-first opportunities.

Skills We're Looking For
  • Product management experience in B2B SaaS or platform products.
  • Demonstrated success leading technical products with high customer expectations for reliability and observability.
  • Strong technical fluency-comfortable working with logs, events, monitoring pipelines, and API-based integrations.
  • Proven collaboration skills across Engineering, Design, Support, and GTM.
  • Data-informed mindset with experience using both qualitative and quantitative inputs to drive prioritization.
  • Ability to execute cross-functionally in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills
  • Experience with observability or monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, New Relic).
  • Familiarity with enterprise logging pipelines or SIEM integrations.
  • Background in data integration, ETL/ELT, or developer platforms.
