Sustainable Talent is partnering with Nvidia a global leader who's been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years. We are looking for a Systems Engineering & Administration - Systems Administrator to support our client's team onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
This is a full-time (W-2) contract role. We offer competitive pay $50/hr - $80/hr based on factors like experience, education, location, etc. and provide full benefits, PTO, and amazing company culture!
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic team at NVIDIA. As a System Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our high-tech initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's data and systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues in a proactive manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities, adhering to best practices and minimizing disruptions to business operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance for projects.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure productivity and user satisfaction.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience.

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in a high-tech environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, as well as experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Strong understanding of system hardware and remote management via IPMItool, iLO, iDRAC, etc

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
