Demolition Superintendent

About Us

Jingoli Nuclear Services, LLC is looking for top level talent interested in progressing their career by working on one of the most challenging and dynamic first of a kind Nuclear Decommissioning and Demolition projects. The Three Mile Island Unit 2 D&D encourages and demands “A” game level thinking, analysis, planning & execution. For this opportunity, we expect a long term commitment and therefore offer relocation and domestic assignment packages. In addition, the requires little to no travel for most positions, works a 4-10 schedule, and provides competitive pay and incentive bonuses based on performance.

Job Description

The Demolition Superintendent will be responsible for the planning & execution of assigned demolition projects within the established budget and schedule for the overall D&D project. Responsible for the supervision & successful execution of the demolition work. Responsible for acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts and executing the work including self-performance, subcontractors and consultants, to deliver projects according to plan. Provides leadership, direction and resources to the Demolition Project Manager, Site Safety Manager, subordinate supervisor, craft workers and project staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assisting the Demolition PM with planning, estimating, scheduling & performance tracking
  • Assisting the Site Safety Manager & all workers with ensuring the work is done in a safe manner
  • Organizing daily activities based on the goals of the project
  • Working with the management team to improve strategies
  • Supervise supervisor and craft workers for self-performed work to ensure successful execution
  • Supervise contractors and consultants for subcontracted work to ensure successful execution
  • Supervise the proper maintenance, safe and efficient & operation of equipment

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 years Demolition Superintendent experience for heavy commercial and industrial demolition projects.
  • 5 year of Nuclear experience, preferred.
  • Experience should include at a minimum; conventional machine demolition, selective building/component/equipment demolition, demolition by cutting using both hot work & non hot work methods, demolition utilizing cranes & rigging, implosion demolition and material processing/preparing/recycling/waste disposal of all types of demolition materials
  • Experience within the Nuclear Industry is not required but is a plus
  • Experience with union labor is not required but is a plus
  • Successful track record of completed projects and good performance reviews
  • Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Risk management
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Cost control and budgeting skills
  • Teamwork and motivational skills
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
