Job Summary

This full-time on-site Shift Supervisor role is based in Mocksville, NC. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising production operations in a nonwoven manufacturing environment during a 12-hour night shift. This role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced production setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Daily Production Management Boards are updated on each shift, including KPI totals, RC, 5 Why Analysis, and action items.
  • Oversee all production activities for the assigned night shift to meet daily output targets
  • Monitor nonwoven production lines, equipment performance, and material flow
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and adjust staffing or processes as needed
  • Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of operators
  • Set clear expectations and ensure accountability for performance and attendance
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive work environment on night shift
  • Support employee training, onboarding, and skill development
  • Enforce all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards
  • Conduct routine safety audits and ensure proper use of PPE
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Drive a strong safety culture focused on prevention and awareness
  • Ensure all products meet nonwoven quality standards and specifications
  • Monitor quality metrics, perform checks, and address defects promptly
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to resolve issues and improve consistency
  • Identify root causes of production issues and implement effective solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Complete detailed shift reports, including production, downtime, and staffing updates
  • Communicate effectively with day shift leadership for smooth transitions
  • Escalate critical issues to management as required


Job Qualifications

  • Employee must have a two-year degree in business or related field or a combination of education and experience (Required)
  • Knowledge of ADP, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel and SAP (Preferred)
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred (Employee management and timecard systems knowledge)
  • 2โ€“5+ years of experience in a manufacturing operation (required)
  • Experience working in fast-paced production environments
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Night Shift: 12-hour rotating schedule (required)


Work Environment

Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate-controlled year-round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
