Within the CSG, the NASA Programs Division (NPD) supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight. The primary function of this position is to provide SharePoint development and maintenance of a configuration management tool used across NASA. As the HESF Angular/SharePoint Developer (Solutions Developer Staff II) representing Aerospace on this NASA team, you'll be instrumental in leveraging Angular development in combination with SharePoint technology to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and facilitate knowledge management for critical space exploration initiatives within NASA.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX or Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Merrit Island, FL.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop Change Management Workflow (CMW) front-end Angular 20 tool in SharePoint
  • Maintain and improve CMW - complete feature requests from users, develop requirements for enhancements, maintain usability and performance
  • Provide technical expertise and perspective to CDM processes and data management
  • Provide development support to other custom Angular SharePoint projects for NASA when needed: i.e., Meeting Hub
  • Update CMW support documentation
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and design customized SharePoint solutions aligned with the goals and objectives of the NASA, encompassing document management, task tracking, collaboration portals, and knowledge repositories.
  • Configure and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms to optimize functionality, usability, and performance in support of programmatic needs and operational workflows.
  • Implement user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation structures within SharePoint sites, ensuring ease of access to critical information and resources for team members involved in activities.
  • Implement security measures and access controls within SharePoint environments to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with NASA's cybersecurity policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to end-users and project teams on SharePoint usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques, fostering adoption and maximizing productivity across the program.

What You Need to be Successful- Solutions Developer Staff II
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SharePoint development, configuration, and administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Angular development and UI/UX design
  • Proficiency in Angular 17+, Git, and Node.js
  • Well-versed in SharePoint architecture, site hierarchy, and security models
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint, Nintex workflow, and Data Structures Design/Development
  • Advanced knowledge of web development languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful web services, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL)
  • Knowledge and or experience with Configuration and Data Management principles and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including effectively explaining concepts to managers and scientists
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and provide direction on competing priorities
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
