This position is classified as salaried exempt per FLSA standards.

Location: Lumen Field, 800 Occidental Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98134

This position is required to work on-site at Lumen Field & reports to the HR Director.

Job Summary

As the Human Resources Manager for Levy at Lumen Field, you will be responsible for overseeing the staffing of major events, leading the employee check-in experience on game days & forging strong partnerships in a unique environment. You should be an experienced Human Resources professional who is also a strategic business partner. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Seattle Seahawks in one of the best NFL properties in the country & work in a different kind of HR!

Responsibilities

  • Develops & implements recruitment plans for Lumen Field in partnership with department managers to maintain adequate staffing levels for stadium events such as legendary concerts, Seattle Sounders MLS matches, & Seattle Seahawks NFL games.
  • Leads staffing for all MLS, NFL, & concert activations. Develops a deep understanding of our internal staffing procedures including our volunteers, temp employees, & subcontractors.
  • Accurately reports on all staffing levels, pre & post matches. 
  • Ensures all Levy & legal standards, such as I-9's, Levy's Creating Legends, WA State food worker permits, MAST, policy acknowledgements, ServSafe, & all other required onboarding paperwork are completed in a timely manner.
  • Conducts regular audits to verify compliance with policies & procedures in alignment with Levy's Quality & Risk Evaluation (QRE).
  • In partnership with the HR Director, develops, implements, & supports a retention strategy for Levy.
  • Oversees the entire onboarding & orientation for all new team members.
  • Leads efforts around employee engagement at Lumen Field.
  • Oversees the timely & accurate completion of all team member timesheets in our 'MyStaff' time-keeping system.
  • Leads our HR check-in team to maintain an efficient & welcoming employee check-in experience for all events (avg. 50+ a year).
  • Thorough knowledge of investigation & progressive discipline procedures & supports managers in completing corrective action processes.
  • Educates & supports managers in understanding & adhering to Lumen Field's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Ensures all team member information is accurate & up to date within the 'PeopleHub' HRIS.
  • Ensures the timely processing of all unemployment claims through Equifax.
  • Ensures timely completion of all mandatory compliance-related training to managers & full-time staff.
  • Analyzes performance data & generates reports related to headcount, demographics, retention & union required reports.
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by the HR Director.

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources with previous union experience.
  • Highly organized & operates with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with high volume recruitment.
  • Familiarity with performing audits.
  • Previous experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • High level of computer & database literacy (Smartsheets, Microsoft 365, Visier, Concur, PeopleHub).
  • Previous experience in either hospitality, food & beverage, sports & entertainment, or retail.
  • Excellent communication skills & able to demonstrate a high degree of maturity.
  • Proactive thinker - able to identify next steps.
  • Highly motivated self-starter & a willingness to learn.
  • Must be able & willing to work (occasional) evenings, (some) weekends, & (rarely) holidays as dictated by the event schedule of Lumen Field. Changes may be sudden & frequent to this schedule.
  • Must be able to work early mornings or late evenings dependent on the event schedule. 
  • Must be able to work on-site at Lumen Field.
