Job Description:

We areseekinga technically skilled and execution-focused Sr. IT Project Engineer with a strong networking background to support the delivery of IT infrastructure and integration projects across our oncology practice networks. This role is primarily focused on the design, deployment, and ongoing management of network infrastructure - including firewalls, managed switches, wireless access points, SD-WAN, redundant internet circuits, and VPN tunnels. The ideal candidate is a hands-on network engineer who thrives in multi-site environments, can troubleshoot complex network issues, and is passionate about driving reliable connectivity across a large and growing group of oncology practices.

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring work across multiple locations throughout Florida.

Responsibilities:

-Lead the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects, including new practice integrations, network refreshes, and hardware deployments.

-Serve as the technical lead during new oncology practice onboarding - overseeing infrastructure readiness, on-site activities, and remote configuration work.

-Design, deploy, and configure network infrastructure, including firewalls, managed switches, and wireless access points across practice locations.

-Coordinate closely with internal technical teams, vendors, and field support resources.

-Manage ISP vendor quotes, procurement, and installation scheduling for new and existing sites.

-Implement and manage SD-WAN and VPN solutions to optimize connectivity, performance, and reliability across the practice network.

-Configure and manage redundant internet circuits, ensuring failover and high availability at all sites.

-Plan and execute network hardware refresh initiatives across a large number of OneOncology Florida practices.

-Coordinate with ISP vendors on circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and SLA management.

-Contribute to the improvement of deployment templates, playbooks, and technical documentation.

-Additionalresponsibilitiesasassigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Requiredor PreferredQualifications(specify within):

  • 8+ years of IT experience with a strong emphasis on network engineering, including deployment and administration of firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, and WAN technologies

  • 5+ years of hands-on IT project execution or engineering experience, ideally in healthcare or multi-site environments

  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet networking appliances

  • Demonstrated experience configuring and managing SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto Prisma)

  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing redundant internet circuits and ISP failover configurations

  • Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-vendor network environments (routing, switching, wireless, security appliances)

  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and proactive infrastructure management

  • Background in systems administration (server/workstation deployment, endpoint management)

  • Experience supporting multi-site IT rollouts or healthcare practice integration projects (preferred)

  • IT MSP experience (preferred)

  • CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or equivalent certificationsrequired;additionalcertifications (MCSA, cloud networking) are a plus

EssentialCompetencies:

  • Strong coordination skills across teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation of complex configurations

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects
