What Does Steel Dynamics Do?

Internship Location

This internship is located at Steel of West Virginia, located in Huntington, WV. This internship is an ONSITE, IN-PERSON Internship.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize electrical engineering principles to assist in the performance of engineering duties.
  • Assist other engineers in on-going projects.
  • Perform data analysis and report trends to operation personnel.
  • Be in direct contact with operation personnel working on projects that will directly affect production and safety.
  • Participate in day to day engineering activities in a fast paced and varied environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Degree program or experience should include one or more of the following: electrical machinery, power distribution, PLCs/automation systems, power electronics/drives.
  • Completed at least their freshman year of study.
  • Preferred GPA of at least 2.7.
