Vice President, Sales & Digital reporting to the SVP, Commerce & Digital.

The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for The Walt Disney Company, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing, including recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music physically and digitally and licenses music worldwide in various media such as television, print, gaming, and consumer products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage overall account-based initiatives to achieve increased revenue and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee digital marketing activities for artists and brands, focusing on driving engagement, awareness, demand, and monetization.
  • Lead social media and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Drive strategy to expand user-generated content (UGC) and fan monetization across social media, games, and other platforms.
  • Lead the team in strategic development of influencer, creator, and ambassador marketing.
  • Maintain strong digital business partner relationships (Amazon, Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Vevo, Meta, etc.) with a focus on emerging accounts and usage trends.
  • Oversee physical sales business, creating, executing, and evaluating retail promotional, merchandising, positioning, and placement opportunities.
  • Develop new opportunities, including business models, geographies, and products in physical and digital spaces.
  • Utilize and promote responsible use of AI in marketing and sales efforts.
  • Create and maximize opportunities for catalog products.
  • Grow direct-to-consumer effectiveness and new product opportunities.
  • Oversee CRM strategy for DMG.
  • Oversee pertinent web development, asset creation, and ensure privacy and legal compliance.
  • Forecast, monitor, and evaluate fiscal performance of departmental initiatives.
  • Provide digital unit and revenue forecast guidance.
  • Provide physical unit projections and guidance for supply chain.
  • Guide digital commerce and marketing strategies.
  • Explore new and emerging technologies, platforms, and consumer trends.
  • Use data extensively to increase revenue and improve business decisions.
  • Manage relationships with distribution and license partners to extend DMG team effectiveness.
  • Seek and maintain partnerships with other Disney segments to generate revenue opportunities.
  • Guide global partners to maintain local market autonomy within a coordinated worldwide strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal DMG marketing leads to develop and execute advertising and media plans and creative to support key objectives.
  • Lead a team of 10-15 employees, building unit cohesion, collaboration, and efficiency and focusing on professional development and growth opportunities for each team member.
Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in Sales & Digital.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a large multi-tiered team.
  • Expert understanding of new technologies, platforms, and digital services.
  • Keen insight into online consumer behaviors.
  • Experience managing online communities.
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to create effective strategic programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of direct-to-consumer marketing and promotions, including testing, reporting, acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Account management experience.
  • Track record in leading people in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to enlist cooperation among external partners, vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Music industry experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Leading large, layered organizations with multiple levels of direct (< 8+ individuals) and indirect reports preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $194,700.00 - $261,100.00. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors such as geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be provided, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
