Job description

Position Summary
NCW is seeking experienced CNC Operators for a manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce high-precision steel components while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. Candidates should have hands-on CNC setup experience and be comfortable making tooling and offset adjustments. Programming experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complete setups and operate CNC milling equipment, with some CNC lathe operation.
  • Set and adjust tooling and make machine offsets as needed throughout production.
  • Operate 3-axis CNC equipment with FANUC controls, including Murata machines.
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances measured in microns.
  • Inspect finished parts using appropriate precision measuring equipment to ensure specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and quality issues during production.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while meeting production and quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Previous CNC machine operation and complete setup experience required.
  • Experience with CNC mills is strongly preferred; CNC lathe experience is a plus.
  • FANUC control experience preferred.
  • Comfortable performing tooling changes and machine offset adjustments.
  • Ability to work with tight-tolerance, high-precision machine components.
  • CNC programming experience is a plus but not required.
Employment Type & Compensation
  • Full-Time | Direct Hire position
  • Compensation: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience + $0.75 shift differential
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • 3rd Shift | Sunday – Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
