Position Summary

The role of the Medical Assistant reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the nurse and front office with day-to-day duties.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient vitals and input data into the electronic medical records system
  • Perform any necessary CLIA-waive tests
  • Clean room after patient use
  • Ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies
  • Appropriately process soiled instruments
  • Assist front desk with daily operations, as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a previous medical assistant role, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
