Job description

Description

Rock Pros USA is hiring a General Laborer (Ground Engineer) for our Upper Bell quarry near Mayer, Arizona. This is a full-time, hands-on position supporting the daily operation of a rock crushing and surface mining facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable with physical outdoor work, and interested in learning more about mining, quarry operations, rock crushing, and heavy equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform general quarry labor including shoveling, raking, cleanup, and material handling.
  • Clean around crushers, conveyors, screens, and other plant equipment to prevent material buildup.
  • Assist with screen changes, crusher cleanup, and basic plant maintenance.
  • Assist equipment operators and maintenance personnel as directed.
  • Act as a spotter around heavy equipment when trained and assigned.
  • Use hand and power tools after proper training.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

  • Follow all Rock Pros USA safety procedures, site requirements, and MSHA regulations.
  • Participate in required safety meetings and training.
  • Learn quarry operations and equipment as training opportunities become available.
  • Perform other production and quarry duties as assigned.
Opportunity to Learn

Ground Engineers are an important part of our quarry crew. This position provides an opportunity to learn how a surface mining and rock crushing operation works and develop additional skills through training and hands-on experience.

If you're dependable, willing to work, and interested in building experience in the mining and heavy equipment industry, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Arizona weather and a dusty, noisy quarry environment.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Mining, quarry, aggregate, construction, landscaping, farming, or other outdoor labor experience is helpful but not required.
Physical & Work Environment:

This is a physically active outdoor position, not a desk job. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, kneel, shovel, rake, and perform other physical tasks associated with quarry operations.

Work is performed around heavy equipment and rock crushing machinery and may involve exposure to heat, cold, wind, dust, noise, and vibration. Required PPE must be worn and all safety procedures must be followed.
