Position Summary: Engineering Lead will utilize specific software to create detailed and accurate manufacturing drawings from architectural plans and specifications. These drawings will be used for manufacturing, installation, and job coordination of all millwork and associated products. The Engineering Lead will support the Director of Project Delivery in leading, scheduling, and overseeing the completion of shop drawings by the engineering department. This includes developing and maintaining company policy and drawing standards.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members, including providing feedback and supporting the Director of Project Delivery with performance management.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of engineering staff as needed.
  • Assist Director of Project Delivery in scheduling.
  • Organize and maintain the drafting libraries.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural documents, including the ability to determine the millwork scope requirements. 
  • Must be able to identify errors and/or omissions on architectural drawings and request clarification. 
  • Must be able to identify errors in internal shop drawings. 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company policies, drawing standards, and best practices within the engineering department 
  • Use Microvellum Toolbox Standard software OR similar cabinet software (i.e. Cabinet Vision and/or Cad Cam) to produce detailed and accurate manufacturing drawings from architectural plans and specifications.  
  • Apply knowledge of standard building construction methods to support accurate and feasible shop drawings. 
  • Communicate with other departments (Project Management, Production, Installation, Estimating, Sales) to ensure details of a project are understood and/or to address concerns, make updates as needed and meet project schedules and budgets. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline orientated environment. 
  • Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.  
🌟 What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • Architect and/or Engineering or previous relevant experience. 
  • 5+ years of related work experience (millwork and casework drafting required). 
  • 5+ years of experience working with AutoCAD 2010 or higher, and 2+ years of experience with Microvellum software  
  • Previous experience and knowledge of building millwork and/or casework products is preferred. 
  • Previous experience with Innergy is preferred. 
  • Previous experience with BlueBeam or comparable PDF software preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel). 
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude

  • 💰 Salary: $32 - $42 Hourly, commensurate upon experience.
  • Job Type: Full Time. Shift, Mon- Fri, 7:00am - 4:00pm (with overtime as needed).
