Job Summary:
The In-Room Dining Coordinator is the central point of contact for all guest room dining requests, responsible for delivering a seamless, efficient, and elevated ordering experience. This role blends hospitality, organization, and technology-ensuring every order is handled with precision, warmth, and attention to detail. As the voice of In-Room Dining, the Coordinator plays a critical role in shaping the guest experience, from the initial interaction through order fulfillment and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Communication
  • Answer all IRD calls promptly with a polished, luxury-forward phone presence
  • Guide guests through menu offerings, including dietary accommodations and upselling opportunities
  • Ensure all guest interactions reflect the elevated service standards of the property
  • Communicate accurate wait times and follow up on guest requests when necessary

Order Management & Systems
  • Enter all orders accurately into MICROS POS
  • Coordinate digital and mobile orders through BBot when applicable
  • Ensure all modifications, allergies, and special requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen
  • Manage order flow during high-volume periods with efficiency and composure

Operational Coordination
  • Act as liaison between guests, kitchen, and service team to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Monitor ticket times and proactively communicate delays or adjustments
  • Assist with menu updates, availability changes, and system adjustments (e.g., limited menus during operational shifts)
  • Support IRD service flow across breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods

Administrative & Organizational Duties
  • Maintain accurate logs of orders, guest requests, and service notes
  • Assist in updating IRD menus and ensuring system accuracy (pricing, availability, timing)
  • Support team scheduling coordination and communication when needed

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in hospitality, call center, or restaurant operations preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a professional phone demeanor
  • Experience with POS systems, preferably Micros, is a plus
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
