Job description

Seeking a Full Time Medical Biller to join BCHP. This will be a hybrid remote and on-site position, candidates must be located in the tri-state area to be considered for this position. Pay rate approx.

$22/hr-$24/hr, depending on experience. The schedule will be approx. 35 hours per week.Previous Medical Billing experience is required

NextGen experience is preferred but not mandatory. Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and discrepancies Establish payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills Verify all entries made by cashiers and make corrections, if necessary Maintain credentialing documents and hospital privilege applications. Process invoices accounts payable , expenses and Banking.

Train appropriate personnel on computerized billing system Respond to patient billing and statement inquiries. Make recommendations to management for write-offs. Call insurance companies on appeals and denials Review denial report with upper management weekly and when otherwise requested Create balances reports (out to insurance and out to patient) monthly and review with upper management Ensure daily charges are being inputted and assist when needed.
