Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Payment Posting Specialist to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Matawan Office. This position will be responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments received from insurance companies and patients into the medical billing system. We are looking for candidates who are motivated, compassionate, and are looking to advance their careers in a community that is always growing.

 

Job Title: Payment Posting Specialist 

Salary/Pay Rate: $22-25, depending on specialty and experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Job Title Duties (not limited to):

  • Payment Entry: 
    • Completes payment entry in a timely and accurate manner including: Posts payments to various practice management system (software examples: OMNI, Athena, Eclinical, Eclipse)
    • Properly communicates and documents payment denials in the practice management system and provides to the appropriate billing representative in a timely manner. 
    • Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate billing representative – AR and/or Director.
  • Batches patient statements electronically on a weekly basis
  • Creates invoices for attorney fees and communicates with physician's office upon receipt of payment. 
  • Preparing and overseeing the arbitration department and assisting with file preparation for arbitration matters to be submitted to attorneys. Properly handling the arbitration scorecards for multiple providers and patients.

 

Minimum Level of Education or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of medical billing/medical posting experience for Ambulatory Surgery Centers required.  
  • Experience using Surgical Information Systems
  • Candidates must be able to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

M-F 9:00am - 5:00pm
