Pastoral Associate - Full-Time
Prince of Peace Catholic Community is seeking a faith-filled, compassionate Pastoral Associate to join our parish ministry team.
Working closely with the Pastoral Leader, this position shares in the pastoral care of our parish community by providing spiritual support and accompaniment to individuals and families through times of illness, death, and bereavement. The Pastoral Associate also coordinates ministries to the homebound, hospitals, assisted living and nursing facilities, facilitates adult faith formation (OCIA and Adult Confirmation), collaborates with parish staff and volunteers, and serves as a liaison to the Worship and Discipleship Committees.
Qualifications:
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing
  • Strong understanding of Catholic theology and Church teaching
  • Master's Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Excellent pastoral, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to minister compassionately to those who are ill, grieving, or homebound
  • Experience with volunteer coordination, team building, and conflict resolution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with clergy, staff, and parishioners
