Overview

We are seeking skilled DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) Designers and Senior Designers to join our team. In this role, you will design and generate DAS/ERRCS/low-voltage RF system drawings, perform RF modeling, prepare technical submittals, RFI's, and closeout documents.

Responsibilities

Designing and/or drafting complete DAS and ERRCS (Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems) shop drawings for multi-family, high-rise, military, healthcare, and commercial facilities. Conduct RF modeling, heat mapping, link budget creation, and predictive coverage analysis using industry-standard tools. Work closely with Project Managers and Account Executives to complete accurate DAS designs and prepare submittals in a timely and professional manner. Prepare documentation required by AHJs including RF test plans, grid testing documentation, commissioning reports, and product data sheets. Manage and update electronic and physical engineering libraries including job folders, equipment manuals, technical data sheets, brochures, and templates. Apply company and National CAD/BIM standards to all shop drawings. Research code requirements and resolve design problems through evaluation of multiple technical solutions. Coordinate designs with electrical engineers, GCs, low-voltage trades, RF vendors, and building owners to ensure a complete and compliant system. Read and interpret blueprints, RF reports, site surveys, specifications, schematics, and manufacturer installation manuals. Identify out-of-scope work and design gaps based on contract documents, proposals, plans, and specifications. Recommend value-engineered solutions for efficient and code-compliant DAS designs. Respond to questions, solutions, and RFI-related items regarding DAS design in a timely and professional manner. Effectively communicate project milestones, issues, and needs to management. Perform document control tasks such as printing, downloading, and filing. Perform material and equipment take-offs from plans. Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills including a solid background in AutoCAD is required; Revit experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with IFC, NFPA 1221/1225, local AHJ DAS code requirements, FCC rules, and building codes related to RF/ERRCS systems. Experience with RF modeling tools such as iBwave is strongly desired. Industry certifications such as iBwave Level 1-3, GROL, NICET, or related RF/telecom certifications are preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and related design software. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, organized, able to multitask, and capable of managing deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to independently take initiative to complete projects accurately and on time. Applicants must meet background and driving record requirements. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
