Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, security, and ongoing optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role oversees and manages the infrastructure team and serves as the organization's senior technical infrastructure leader and subject matter expert for architecture decisions involving networking, cloud, virtualization, storage, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. The role ensures the high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of core technology services. The IT Infrastructure Manager plays a key part in maintaining operational resiliency, supporting business continuity, and aligning infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals. This role establishes infrastructure architecture standards and governance, and provides technical oversight for major infrastructure designs, technology selections, implementations, and modernization initiatives. This is an on-site role based at our Oakdale office, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with business, resiliency, and security objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, architecture guidelines, SLAs, and governance.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of data centers, networks, servers, virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Manage ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, and endpoint management solutions.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls and vulnerability management practices.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
  • Manage, mentor, evaluate, and develop infrastructure, network, systems, and technical support staff while driving accountability, operational efficiency, and service quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements for infrastructure services.
  • Lead infrastructure components of enterprise IT initiatives and projects.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues involving networking, virtualization, servers, storage, backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.
  • Review and approve major infrastructure designs, technology selections, and technical implementations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7 years of infrastructure engineering experience required.
  • 4 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • Direct experience managing and supporting a large internal enterprise infrastructure environment is required, including ownership of production on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments consisting of campus networking, data center operations, virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and multi-site connectivity.
  • Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, and Linux platforms (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu).
  • Experience with enterprise firewalls, switching, routing, and wireless networking, including Palo Alto, Aruba, or ProCurve technologies.
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments and working within ITIL-based operational frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure technologies is required.
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 600 users, multiple physical locations, and 24x7 operational requirements.
  • Must be capable of independently reviewing technical designs, conducting architecture reviews, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and mentoring infrastructure engineers.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CCNP, Azure/AWS are a plus.
  • Experience in regulated environments (Utilities, Government, Healthcare) is a plus.
